The 2022 AGM took place on 31 August. The official minutes will be published in the usual way.
After a review of the past 12 months, Chairman Mandy Russell announced the programme for the upcoming season, beginning with the Christmas Pantomime ‘The Wizard of Oz’ directed by Jo Bailey.
Following the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream a few years ago, we thought we might give the entire works of Shakespeare a go in ‘The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)’, directed by Ben Tutt. This promises to be a fast paced, fun show, and will take place 11-13 May 2023. Auditions will be in November 2022 with rehearsals starting in January ( dates TBA).
Our very popular supper show will be 'Ladies Down Under’, 27-29 July 2023. The play follows the fortunes of the fish filleting foursome we met in ‘Ladies Day’, to be directed once again by Ray Haresign. Auditions will be held in November.
It is our intention to enter a one act play to the Lighthorne Festival in June 2023. We are looking for a suitable entry and are open to any suggestions. The play should have a small cast and minimal set and rehearsals will overlap with the other productions. There could be other opportunities to perform the play at different venues, including the pub- either in the barn or the garden.
