The Lynden Players were delighted to present ‘PLOT’, an original piece of writing, for two nights only, as part of an exclusive preview double bill of fringe theatre alongside Peppered Wit on the 31st May 2019 at The Atic, Banbury, and the 1st June 2019 at Middleton Cheney Village Hall.
The one-act comedy, written and directed by Kay Andrews-Kuhn (author of HOOD and CAMP), was a ‘backstage’ play where the story follows a troupe of actors rehearsing a new production loosely based on the Gunpowder Plot. Discovering that the script is terrible, and fearing for their reputations, the cast plot to sabotage the show. The play contains strong language and adult humour.
For the first time, the Lynden Players joined forces with Peppered Wit Productions to deliver a provocative evening of adult theatre. With a fistful of successful fringe productions in their pockets, Peppered Wit performed the two-handed thriller ‘The Wasp’, by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, which they will also be performing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
Thank you to all our audiences who came to support both events in support of fringe theatre and exciting new and original writing.
